We offer a variety of cost-effective, high-throughput Sanger Sequencing options. This is still the gold standard for DNA Sequencing.
The most economical service involves setting up the reaction in your own lab, then submitting the amplified products to our facility. We can go over protocols with you and provide the sequencing reagent, at a discounted rate, to carry out the reactions in your laboratory (a PCR machine is the only required equipment). If you complete the reactions in your lab, but you would like the unincorporated dyes removed, we can purify the products using SPRI beads.
We also offer expert service in sequencing if you wish to provide the template DNA and primer. Every effort is made to provide at least 600 bp of excellent sequence (Q score >20), though template composition and purity are crucial determinants of quality. Strategies are available to sequence difficult GC rich templates or homopolymer regions; please indicate if such regions are present.
Different options are available for the processing of 96 well V-bottom plates for either Quick Service or Full Service. Please consult the price list to see what we can do for you if samples are submitted in plates.
We can also carry out larger sequencing projects involving editing and assembly. Price is based on the degree of confidence required (i.e., single strand vs. double strand, one vs. multiple passes); contact us for more information, firstname.lastname@example.org.
To discuss a project or acquire a quote, please contact us! For new clients, please set up an account (see New Lab or Customer Access below). All projects must be discussed before samples are submitted.
If you would like to initiate a project or get more information, please use the following contact information, and a member of our group will get in touch with you directly.

New Lab or Customer Access
We MUST have this information before we can proceed with your request.
Adding a new lab:
- Name, address, phone number, UW NetID and email of the Principal Investigator (PI) or Primary scientific contact person.
- Name, address, phone number, FAX number and email of he financial contact person.
- Name, UW NetID, phone number and email of all individuals who will be using our service.
- Payment information: For campus users this should be a direct charge number, e.g. a 144 or 133 prefixed account (please send the whole string of characters). For off campus users you can set up a PO or we can send the financial contact person a bill — your choice. Non-UW system users are charged an additional institutional overhead.
Adding a member to an existing lab:
- Name of the PI whose lab you are joining.
- Your name, UW NetID, phone number and email.
